Jump Little Children is BACK!

In 1998, during my freshman year of college in Johnson City, TN, some of my new found friends were going wild over this band that was going to be up the road from us playing a show in Boone, NC. I'd never heard of these guys and the description that my friends gave of them didn't seem too exciting for me, but I figured they had to be worth giving a chance, given all the hype I was hearing. I felt that if I wanted to get to know any of these new friends I'd surrounded myself with in college, I needed to get in the car for a little ride up the NC mountains.

I'm sure glad I did. After the show, I decided that I wanted to do what Jump Little Children was doing for the rest of my life, too. The show they put on was amazing - full of energy and beautiful original music - along with about every instrument I could ever think of for a rock band, and a bunch of instruments that I would never expect out of a rock band, including a cello and Irish whistles.

It was a very special time for me that during the 10 year reunion from their breakup in December of 2015, that I got to take my wife to Atlanta, GA and Columbia, SC to let her see first hand this band I'd been talking up for several years.  She was a fan from the start.

And here we go again!  I am so thrilled that these guys, after all this time, have come to realize what an incredible fan base they STILL have.  They will be playing a short, four show tour in the southeast, closing with a performance at the High Water Music Festival in Charleston, SC.  A few of the shows are already sold out.  We will be traveling to Asheville, NC to check them out at one of my favorite venues in the southeast.

Please enjoy this multi-iPhone live video I put together from one of their Atlanta, GA performances of 2015 of Where She Lies.  (By the way, If you can't tell, they all unplugged their instruments and did this unplugged in a room with around 600 people.  That's just how good they are.)
